TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
